Pineapple Green Cheek conures are a mutation of the normal green cheek conure. Their personality and characteristics are identical. The difference is simple the beautiful coloring. A pineapple green cheek is a combination of the yellow sided mutation and the cinnamon mutation. Combined you get the beautiful coloring of the bird to the left.
Green cheek conures make affectionate and fun companions. They love to play and they love to be with you. It is especially important that you provide a variety of toys and a lot of out of cage time each day. Don't let their small size fool you; green cheek conures think they are big birds and they are a true parrot. Their smaller size and smaller beak make them a better choice for most active families. They still require a larger cage as they do love to play. I suggest a cage that is 32" x 20" and 30-60" tall. This offers them plenty of room to climb, play, and forage. A playtop stand or portable play stand designed for cockatiels is a great way to offer them a change of scenery as these play stands can be moved from room to room with you.
Green Cheeks love to eat. They should be offered a quality pellet like roudybush along with fresh vegetables, and the occasional fruits and seeds. Sprouting is a nutritious and easy way to offer your feathered friend high quality nutrition.
We have only one pair of pineapple green cheek conures so we offer very few pet quality babies each year to selective pet homes. If you are looking for a fun loving parrot to add to your family please contact me to inquire about availability. We have very few babies each year so that each one gets a great deal of attention, quality nutrition, and a great forever home.
We look forward to hearing from you.
